No Full Stops in India by Mark Tully

No Full Stops in India by Mark Tully hits the £1 shelf in my shop.

Viking Press, 1991, Hardback in dust wrapper.

Illustrated with black and white photographs. From the flap: "In this book by the BBC's universally admired India correspondent, the distillation of a lifetime's knowledge and love of a country is told in a series of stories and travel tales, which yield no single India. Tully reveals to us its beauty and terrible poverty; its corruption and the strength and dignity of its poor; its yearning for modernity and the richness of its ancient cultures existing together in the largest democracy on earth, a democracy in constant turmoil, in need of constant renewal."

Very Good — in Good Dust Wrapper. Gently faded at the spine. Leans. Edges of the dust wrapper somewhat frayed at the head of the spine and top corners with a short closed tear to the join of the lower panel. Top edge of the text block tanned with a small mark to the foredge of the text block. Text complete, clean and tight.

Light Blue boards with Yellow titling to the Spine.
336 pages. 9½" x 6¼".

This book will be listed, sooner or later, for £6.50 on my delightful website... (added to my Travel — India category.) but get 50% off buying from my blog... below...
