The stone built house, dating back to 1640, is set in an 800 hectare estate and surrounded by three hectares of magnificent private gardens that testify to the creative skills of the landscape designer. The days when twelve gardeners were employed at the Manor have long since passed; but, with a small dedicated team, David Hatchett as head gardener has been able to retain the high standards of a more extravagant age by combining the best of the 'old ways' with modern economic methods of cultivation.
